Anthropic Launches Ten AI Agent Templates for Financial Services

Anthropic has launched ten ready-to-run AI agent templates for financial services teams, covering pitchbook creation, KYC screening, month-end close, and seven other high-volume workflows. The agents are available today at the financial services marketplace as plugins in Claude Cowork and Claude Code, and as cookbooks for Claude Managed Agents. All agents are powered by Claude Opus 4.7, which leads the industry on Vals AI's Finance Agent benchmark at 64.37%.

The Ten New Agent Templates

Each template packages three components: skills covering domain knowledge and task instructions, connectors providing governed access to the required data, and subagents handling specific subtasks such as comparables selection or methodology checks. Firms can adapt any template to their own modeling conventions, risk policies, and approval workflows.

Research and client coverage:

• Pitch builder creates target lists, runs comparables, and drafts pitchbooks for client meetings
• Meeting preparer assembles client and counterparty briefs ahead of calls
• Earnings reviewer reads transcripts and filings, updates models, and flags thesis-relevant changes
• Model builder creates and maintains financial models from filings, data feeds, and analyst inputs
• Market researcher tracks sector and issuer developments, synthesizes news and broker research, and flags items for credit and risk review

Finance and operations:

• Valuation reviewer checks valuations against comparables, methodology, and the firm's review standards
• General ledger reconciler reconciles accounts and runs net asset value calculations against the books of record
• Month-end closer runs the close checklist, prepares journal entries, and produces close reports
• A statement auditor reviews financial statements for consistency, completeness, and audit-readiness
• KYC screener assembles entity files, reviews source documents, and packages escalations for compliance review

Two Ways to Deploy

As a plugin in Claude Cowork or Claude Code, the template runs alongside the analyst using software already on their desktop. Handing the Pitch agent a target list returns a comps model in Excel, a pitchbook drafted in PowerPoint, and a cover note ready in Outlook.

As a Claude Managed Agent, the same template runs autonomously on the Claude Platform for work spanning a whole book of deals or a nightly schedule. Each managed agent includes:

• Long-running sessions that can work throughout a multi-hour deal close
• Per-tool permissions and managed credential vaults
• A full audit log in the Claude Console for compliance and engineering teams to inspect every tool call and decision

In both scenarios, users review, iterate on, and approve Claude's work before it goes to a client, gets filed, or is acted on.

Claude Now Works Across Microsoft 365

Claude is now available as an add-in for Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with Outlook coming soon. Context carries automatically across all four applications, so an analyst who starts a model in Excel does not need to re-explain it when the work moves to PowerPoint.

What each add-in does:

• Excel: Builds financial models from filings and data feeds, audits formulas across linked workbooks, and runs sensitivity analyses
• PowerPoint: Draft decks that update automatically when underlying numbers change
• Word: Edits credit memos against a firm's own templates
• Outlook (coming soon): Triages the inbox, arranges meetings, and drafts responses in the user's voice

In Claude Cowork, analysts can also assign tasks by text or voice using Dispatch. Claude continues working on local files while the analyst is away, with finished work ready for review on return. Chatly users can already access Claude Opus 4.5 and Claude Sonnet 4.5 for everyday tasks through AI chat.

New Data Connectors and Moody's MCP App

Anthropic is adding eight new connectors and one MCP app to expand the data that financial professionals can pull into Claude:

• Dun & Bradstreet: Verified global business identity and enterprise AI workflows
• Fiscal AI: Real-time fundamentals coverage across public equities
• Financial Modeling Prep: Real-time quotes, fundamentals, filings, and transcripts across equities, ETFs, crypto, forex, and commodities
• Guidepoint: 100,000+ compliance-reviewed expert interview transcripts with verbatim excerpts
• IBISWorld: Industry-level revenue, financial ratios, risk scores, and forecasts across thousands of sectors
• SS&C Intralinks: DealCenter AI data rooms for document search, diligence Q&A, and deal-activity tracking
• Third Bridge: Primary-source expert interviews on companies, sectors, and value chains
• Verisk: Property, casualty, and specialty insurance data for underwriting, claims, and risk analysis

Moody's has also launched an MCP app bringing proprietary credit ratings and data on more than 600 million public and private companies for compliance, credit analysis, and business development. These join an existing ecosystem that includes FactSet, S&P Capital IQ, MSCI, PitchBook, Morningstar, Chronograph, LSEG, and Daloopa.
