Amazon review checker

Paste a listing. Get a trust check, an adjusted rating and the reviews behind it.

Examples

A burst of launch reviews, a listing that holds up, a variant mix-up and a sample too thin to judge. Each verdict shows its evidence.

How it works

  1. Paste the listing

Drop in an Amazon product link or ASIN. Chatly pulls the listing and its public reviews through the Amazon reviews app, and tells you how many it read before it judges anything.

  2. It weighs the signals

Review dates, verified purchase, star spread, wording that repeats across reviewers, reviews written for a different variant and one-line five-star praise are each scored on their own, not blended into one opaque grade.

  3. Read the verdict

You get a short report: a trust level, an adjusted rating from the reviews that pass, the patterns it found and the actual reviews that triggered each one, so you can decide for yourself.

Who it’s for

  • Safe to buy
High trust · know about the motor noise

    Shoppers before a big purchase

Check the air purifier or the standing desk before you buy, and read what verified owners say once the launch reviews are set aside.

  • Burst on record
212 reviews in one week, evidence saved

    Sellers watching a rival

When a competitor jumps to 4.8 in a month, see whether the reviews arrived in a burst, from unverified accounts, with the same phrasing, and keep the evidence.

  • Variants to split
947 reviews belong to the Air 2

    Brands auditing their own listings

Spot review hijacking, merged variants and stale reviews from an old formula before a buyer or Amazon does, and know which ones to report.

Frequently asked questions

How do you check if Amazon reviews are fake?

Look for patterns rather than single reviews: many reviews in a short window, near-identical wording across accounts, a high share of unverified purchases, a lopsided star spread and reviews describing a different product. The checker scores each of these and shows the reviews behind every flag.

Can a review checker prove a review is fake?

No. It finds patterns that are common in paid or incentivised reviews, but each one can have an innocent explanation, such as a launch week or a product that went viral. Treat the result as a signal to weigh, not a ruling.

What is an adjusted rating?

It is the average star rating recomputed from only the reviews that pass every check. A large gap between the listed rating and the adjusted one means the doubtful reviews are doing a lot of the work.

How many reviews does it read?

As many as the listing publicly shows, and the report states the exact count and date range. When the sample is small the verdict is marked as low confidence.

Does it work on Amazon stores outside the US?

It reads the marketplace in the link you paste, so a .co.uk or .de listing is checked against its own reviews. Reviews in other languages are read in the language they were written in.

Is the Amazon review checker free?

You can run checks on the free plan. Paid plans add more checks a month, larger listings and saved reports you can rerun when new reviews arrive.
